"Can't see the forest for the trees." - An expression used of someone who is too involved in the details of a problem to look at the situation as a whole. I believe it is a major worry of today's society. We are deeply lost in the details, and we are not able to think as a whole anymore. We made religions, and after we created science just to over specialize in it. Not to mention that the world is divided into countries. But the world needs humans who can think, act and live together as a whole. To solve problems not just when it concerns us. We all live on the same planet. In nature, this is not even a question. In a tree, every particle works together to support life and growth, from the roots to the tips of the leaves. In a forest, there is a natural equilibrium. An infinite connection. All the species are part of a whole. Existing together. Coexistence. The example has been in front of us all along. We should see the forest.
